JOANN KALOGIANIS SPANEAS, CEO
Of the 2 million+ licensed real estate agents in the United States, JoAnn is the one you want to work with. An award-winning REALTOR® and commercial broker for outstanding sales performance and achievement, there are few in the industry who know more about building, buying and selling properties than JoAnn. After graduating from Boston University with a degree in Business Administration and earning her builder’s license, JoAnn spent the first 20 years of her distinguished career leading marketing and sales for Olympic Construction, Inc., a renowned contractor in Merrimack Valley that was owned by her late father, the builder/developer Anastasios “Arthur” Kalogianis. With Arthur at the helm and JoAnn joining the company to lead operations, the two worked together in a close partnership, enabling the firm to successfully build and sell over 1,000 homes.
CEO of Land & Sea Real Estate, Inc., JoAnn puts her wealth of industry knowledge to work for her clients, who describe the experience best: “it’s like hitting the jackpot of real estate agents.” Holding the rarest of all residential designations (achieved by less than 1% of all real estate agents)—JoAnn is a member of the Institute For Luxury Home Marketing. She utilizes powerful marketing databases and is affiliated with a global real estate network that enables her to connect distinctive properties with hundreds of thousands of real estate agents around the world. With a keen eye for detail and quality, JoAnn helps sellers turn up the energy on their home’s amazing features, and has thrice achieved record-setting prices for luxury homes that had previously languished on the market.
A breast cancer survivor since age 31, a working mother of three – as a single parent for five years following a divorce – and one of only a few women in the early 90’s to attain a Massachusetts Construction Supervisor license, JoAnn redefines what it means to be determined. Whether it’s protecting the best interests of a home buyer, negotiating zoning requirements to save a commercial deal or keeping a pulse on “off-market” properties for developers, JoAnn perseveres where other agents would simply give up. Exceeding expectations at every stage of the process, JoAnn’s integrity, responsiveness and determination are characteristics that keep her clients coming back to work with her time and time again.
JoAnn married her husband Demetrius in 2015, which was an incredibly special event, as her terminally ill father Arthur – who she had taken some time off from her career to care for – was able to attend before he passed away. Both JoAnn and Demetrius are active members of their community, volunteering for multiple non-profit organizations. JoAnn serves as a board member at Ironstone Farm of Andover. In addition, JoAnn is a member of The Rotary Club of Andover, and The Andover Garden Club and is part of their Garden Therapy Committee; she volunteers with Bright Pink; is a member of The Pike School Alumni Council and Facilities Committee; and currently training her Canine Good Citizen Certified Golden Retriever to be a Therapy Dog with Dog B.O.N.E.S. through which organization she will bring him to visit medical institutions and senior centers.
